EDITORIAL NOTES

Useful context around the review score.

Short articles about choosing, learning and playing competitive games responsibly.

Why a smaller catalogue is more useful

A huge list can disguise weak distinctions. We would rather explain a few team games in enough detail for a group to recognise the difference in pace, role structure and practice burden.

The first session is not a final verdict

New controls, unfamiliar maps and unclear jobs all compete for attention. A fair trial narrows those variables before deciding whether the game fits.

Scores are editorial shorthand

A score summarises our criteria; it cannot predict personal taste, server conditions or the quality of a particular group.

Stopping is part of the plan

Agree on the last match before fatigue makes the decision. Responsible sessions protect both time and the desire to play again.
